The PIT-W software reprocesses and helps interpret low strain data obtained
with the Pile Integrity Tester™ (PIT). It is available in Standard and Professional version.
"I have been using the new PIT-W Standard Version and honestly
impressed with the ease of use and much better presentation of results (...) One day we will get it
upgraded to the professional version, so that we can use its full capability." - Zacheus Indrawan,
Senior Geotechnical Engineer Golder Associates Pty Ltd
Every PIT includes one license of PIT-W Standard. PIT-W Standard analyzes
records in the time domain and outputs user customized tables and reports. It averages, filters and
magnifies records, and outputs customized plots and reports. The analysis in the time domain is
relatively simple to interpret and assesses the location of major defects.
PIT-W Professional has all the features of the Standard Version. In
addition, it generates a likely Pile Profile, shows multiple piles in one single screen and has and
essential tools for interpreting data obtained with PIT-FV: Frequency Domain Analysis and Wave Speed
Calculation.
The analysis in the Frequency Domain computes the relative mobility and
dynamic stiffness of the pile. Coupled with the Multiple Column plot it allows the comparison of
records from various piles from the same location. Dynamic stiffness yields a relative assessment of
pile strength and quality. The Pile Profile Analysis generates a plot of pile impedance as a function of
depth for piles with a clear toe. The Wave Speed Calculation tool is used with PIT-FV data from 2
accelerometers.
